YOGA and Meditation


Yoga is more than a series of exercises that keep the body supple and strong, and which provide a temporary release of tension and a feeling of lightness and well being. Yoga's deeply purifying practices enables the body to become an instrument for the practice of meditation, the development of mental clarity, the embodiment of virtue and the opening of the heart.

Yoga is a way of life, a way of feeling and thinking, of acting and resting. Yoga is both realistic and idealistic in its approach. With yoga we access with honesty and compassion the conditions of our reality and we allow the practice to awaken in us our deep and heart-felt presence.

Yoga Nidra is an ancient restorative meditation practice from the Yoga Tradition that heals the various unresolved issues, traumas, and wounds that are present in the body and mind. During Yoga Nidra one is helped in recognizing the underlying peace of mind that is always present as the ground of being. Yoga Nidra has been used to help soldiers coming back from war cope with post-traumatic stress disorder, in recovery from illness and addictions and for spiritual unfolding.
